CM / FM Music Technology :: View topic - kid antrim music - is this a scam?

i have been contacted by "kid antrim music" who, on finding my soundclick webpage, are now offering to put my tune "Grid" on a compilation cd which is to be sent to various record labels and radio stations for a cost of $50 (£30) and as a result of this i am interested as to whether any of you:-

1. have heard of "kid antrim music"
2. have received any of kid antrim's compilation cd's
3. have found them useful in any way
4. know of any artists signed as a result of these compilation cd's

it seems KAM have been providing this "service" for several years. having searched searched the web for comment on this service, even kid antrim's own forums, i can only find excited unsigned artists who are tempted by the promise of music industry exposure and a lot of wary people... there seems to be very few actual satisfied customers and very few answers to questions.

I have taken to emailing some of the record labels they claim to send the cd's to, as cash is required upfront. as you may have guessed i am somewhat dubious as to kid antrim's claims.

i would be grateful for any comments anyone may have
